A number of options will be put forward during a conference call to ensure the league is ready when they receive the all-clear to return.


The Mirror claim that what the Premier League want is to resolve all outstanding issues from the current season, also to complete its contractual obligations to broadcasters around the world with remaining games reportedly worth around £750m.

It comes amid concern that the season could be voided as the coronavirus spreads. It also comes after clubs in the Football League voted yesterday to finish their season when the games begin again.

An EFL statement said: “The primary objective, in order to protect competition integrity, is to deliver a successful conclusion to the 2019/20 season, subject to the overriding priority around health and well-being.
