Lionel Messi Fends off Christiano Ronaldo to Become Football's Second Billionaire

Barcelona star, after Cristiano Ronaldo had previously accomplished the feat back in June, Lionel Messi has become the second billionaire in football.

 

Argentina has already gained $1 trillion in pre-tax earnings over its lifetime, according to Forbes, making it the highest-earning player in 2020

 

The magazine estimates that Argentina International is expected to receive a whopping $126 million ($92 million compensation plus endorsements worth $34 million).


Messi has relationships with Adidas, Pepsi, Budweiser and OrCam Technology, an AI-vision firm.

In third is Paris Saint-Germain winger Neymar, who is set to earn $96million. The Brazil international recently switched to Puma after his deal with Nike came to an end.
